Igniting a more comfortable way of living
Ignite began with a very personal scent experience from our founder.
I once received a premium scented candle as a gift. When it was first lit, the fragrance felt beautiful and brought a sense of ritual into the room. But after a while, I began to feel dizzy and uncomfortable. That moment made me ask a simple but important question: why can something that looks beautiful and smells pleasant at first feel unsuitable for everyday home use?
That question led me to natural essential oils.
I started exploring certified organic essential oils, studying different botanical scents and experimenting with blends, bases, burning performance and diffusion. Over time, I discovered that natural essential oils could be more than simply gentle. They could be layered, present, comforting and deeply suited to the way we live at home.
Natural scent can be present and comfortable
While developing natural essential oil candles, we had to test every detail carefully.
Would the scent remain stable when essential oils met plant-based wax and flame?
Would the fragrance change after burning for a while?
Would it develop an unwanted burnt note?
Would it smell noticeable at first, but disappear too quickly?
Would it become sharp, heavy or uncomfortable over time?
These questions became part of our everyday research.
During one long testing session, I naturally fell asleep while one of our natural essential oil candles was burning nearby. That moment stayed with me. It made me realise that a home fragrance does not need to be overpowering to be effective. A truly good scent can be noticed in the room while still making you feel calm, comfortable and at ease.
That experience became a turning point for Ignite.
What was missing was not fragrance, but balance
We noticed that many home fragrance products tend to fall into two extremes.
Some scents are strong and noticeable, but can feel heavy, sharp or artificial. Others are natural and transparent, but lack diffusion and fade too quickly in real living spaces.
We wanted to create the missing middle ground:
A natural essential oil home fragrance made with 100% natural essential oils — one that diffuses beautifully, can be felt in the room, yet remains clear, comfortable and never overwhelming.
This is why Ignite began focusing on high-diffusion natural essential oil fragrance.
Five years of research for everyday homes
Over the past five years, we have continued to study natural essential oil blending, plant-derived bases, scent balance, burning stability, diffusion performance and our double maturation process.
We test our products repeatedly in real home environments, including reed diffusers, scented candles, aroma stones, deodorising room sprays and ceramic aroma burners. To us, a home fragrance is not truly tested by its first impression on a scent strip, but by how it behaves in everyday spaces — an entrance, a living room, a bedroom, a bathroom, a wardrobe, or a quiet work corner.
We are not trying to make fragrance as strong as possible. We are trying to make it feel just right:
Noticeable, but not overwhelming.
Diffusive, but not heavy.
Natural and clear, but not too faint.
The meaning of Ignite
Ignite means to light, to awaken, to begin.
